BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group and LEGO bring the classic LEGO brick to an amazing LEGO architecture project in the heart of Billund, Denmark; where the iconic brick was first invented. The building provides vast exhibition spaces and public squares that embody the culture and value of LEGO.
The ground floor includes a store, three restaurants, conference facilities and a 2,000m2 public square. Above the square, there is a cluster of galleries that include exhibition spaces and fan creations.
Four play zones arranged by colour can be found on the first and second floor: red is creative, blue is cognitive, green is social and yellow is emotional.
It has been a dream for me for many years to create a place that will give our visitors the ultimate LEGO experience
says LEGO owner, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen.
