ArtThat Now: Elmgreen & Dragset “Useless Bodies?” @ Fondazione Prada [Milan]

The show explores the meaning of the human body in the post-industrial age. An age ‘in which physical presence is losing its’ centrality or is even completely superfluous.’

“Useless Bodies?” is a recent exhibition by the artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset at Fondazione Prada, Milan. The show explores the meaning of the human body in the post-industrial age. An age ‘in which physical presence is losing its’ centrality or is even completely superfluous.’

Elmgreen & Dragset investigated that complex concept through a series of immersive installations consisting of performative and sculptural work. All spread across over 3,000 square meters of Fondazione Prada establishment.

The exhibition not only encourages the audience to question the impacts of the increasingly digital realms in which we exist and operate but also what the role and value of the human body in the future might be.

The “Useless Bodies?” exhibition is on display from the 31st of March until the 22nd of August 2022 at the Fondazione Prada, Milano.
